Welcome to Acton Academy Ideas, by me, David Kirby! As an Acton Academy owner, this occasional newsletter will offer my personal reflections on Acton, disruptive education, progress, Montessori, entrepreneurship, and other ideas.
About Me
Briefly about me. My wife, Nicole, and I are the founders of Acton Academy of Washington, DC, a flagship campus in the worldwide Acton Academy network of schools. U.S. News & World Report recently named our Acton among ten top private schools in DC. We also founded the Acton Children’s Business Fair of Washington, DC, which has grown to one of the largest children’s entrepreneurship events in the country. I’m also an adjunct scholar at the Cato Institute, where I run field experiments, study character, and research public opinion. I’m a sometimes public speaker and my views have been featured by the media in print, podcasts, and video. Check out my personal webpage.
